The Boots

My little sister, Rusti, came to visit us over the weekend. While she was here we decided to do a little shoe window shopping. We walked into Famous Footwear and Rusti stumbled upon The Boots. She simply had to have Logan try them on. They were a perfect fit and went very well with the Wranglers he happened to be wearing that day. We all fell in love! Even Kevin couldn't deny how cute they were. Rusti insisted on buying them and now Logan cries every time I try take them off. He even made me put them on over his pajama pants this morning. He is attached to The Boots.

A Case of the Munchies

Let me begin this post by saying that we almost ALWAYS eat dinner at 5:00. Logan almost ALWAYS thinks he is absolutely starving at 4:45. This day was no different. I was in the kitchen cooking dinner; Logan was holding onto my leg and crying. He let go of my leg long enough to climb onto the table and start playing in the fruit bowl. I pulled him off and continued fixing dinner. A few days later I found this...

He took just enough bites of the apple to stave himself off until dinner and left the rest behind. At least he only decided to bite into one and not all ten of the apples!

The Place

First off, we DID NOT paint this place. But the longer we've lived here I think the paint is sort of starting to grow on me. So this is it. Most of it anyway, I left out the laundry room because it's unfinished and gross. I figured if I don't even like to go in there then nobody else would want to see it either.

The Upstairs Bathroom

Our Backyard (my favorite part of the entire place)

Our Room (my least favorite part minus the laundry room)

He is KEVIN'S Son

Logan likes to go downstairs when I'm busy and get into things in our bedroom. Kev found him down there the other day like this...

That's right, he CHOSE to study, all on his own! Our kid is already self motivated, I love it!

Birthdays and Walking!

In the last week, we had two birthdays. Shannon's was on Sunday, and Logan's on Wednesday.

Shannon and I are amazed that we survived through Logan's first year! The time has really flown by, and it seems like only yesterday that we first had him with us.

We have had a fun week, and have a few pictures to show for it. On Logan's birthday, Shannon made a birthday cake and we let him dig in to it.

At first, he was hesitant.

Suddenly, something snapped inside and the kid let loose.

He also had a few cousins to hang out with. Logan thought the big kids were pretty cool.

Anticipating the demolition of Logan's cake, Shannon cooked up these tasty little numbers:

In the aftermath of the event, LDS Church headquarters dispatched a Mormon Helping Hands Taskforce to clean up the rubble and search for bodies.

See? It's true.

As a present from us, Logan got a swimming pool. He had a lot of fun splashing around.

The pool came with this little battery-powered sprinkler whale. He kept trying to grab it but it kept spitting water in his mouth.

Happy birthday Logan!!

In other news, Logan has also been learning to walk lately. At first he was only standing on his own for a second or two, but soon he started taking steps. (We'll put up a video later, it's having problems right now).
