Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year we decided to host our own and invite Jake and Lorena up. We had a total blast! Mostly we played a lot of games and ate a lot junk food.

Kev offered to do the turkey so I wouldn't have to handle the raw meat and it turned out amazing. We covered it in butter and stuffed it with onions and fresh rosemary and sage leaves. Here's Kev buttering up the bird...
This is it fresh out of the oven, we didn't get a great picture but the turkey was perfect!

Here is the dessert. We had pumpkin pie, strawberry pie (which Kev make all by himself) and raspberry white chocolate cheese cake.

Our Cowboy

For Halloween this year Logan was a sheriff and Kev and I were the outlaws. Somehow we only managed to get pictures of Logan's costume though. Enjoy!

Thanks Rusti for the super cute boots! and thanks Mom for whipping up the awesome chaps and vest!

Sweet Punkins

Today we finally got pumpkins! We had fun carving them. It was nice to take out some pent-up energy from school by chopping them open and carving their seed-guts out. We got a few pictures:

Kevin exhibits violent tendencies when you put him in front of a pumpkin.

Almost done!

Our pumpkins! Shannon's is obviously a cute rendition of Jack Skellington, and mine is a greasy dude with a pencil 'stache and a nice hairdo.

The Boots

My little sister, Rusti, came to visit us over the weekend. While she was here we decided to do a little shoe window shopping. We walked into Famous Footwear and Rusti stumbled upon The Boots. She simply had to have Logan try them on. They were a perfect fit and went very well with the Wranglers he happened to be wearing that day. We all fell in love! Even Kevin couldn't deny how cute they were. Rusti insisted on buying them and now Logan cries every time I try take them off. He even made me put them on over his pajama pants this morning. He is attached to The Boots.

A Case of the Munchies

Let me begin this post by saying that we almost ALWAYS eat dinner at 5:00. Logan almost ALWAYS thinks he is absolutely starving at 4:45. This day was no different. I was in the kitchen cooking dinner; Logan was holding onto my leg and crying. He let go of my leg long enough to climb onto the table and start playing in the fruit bowl. I pulled him off and continued fixing dinner. A few days later I found this...

He took just enough bites of the apple to stave himself off until dinner and left the rest behind. At least he only decided to bite into one and not all ten of the apples!
