Baby!

Our beautiful baby boy, Logan Wayne Hendricks, was born Tuesday June 23 at 1:09 p.m., weighing in at 7 lb 13 oz, and measuring 21 inches.

We are very excited and love our little boy very much. Here are some pics...

We found that that it was time at about 11:30 at night when Shannon starting having regular contractions. She was holding up well and we waited around at home for a little while as we prepared to go to the hospital. We got to the hospital at 2:00 a.m. and Shan received an epidural at about 4:30 after she'd been showing really good progress. We rested for a little and then for the rest of the morning we just waited so she could push. Finally, at 1:09 the baby was born! We got to spend some good time bonding with our baby and Shannon finally got to rest after a long day.

It was an incredible experience and poor Shannon was of course exhausted. Shannon is recovering well, and both Shannon and the baby are very healthy.

Thanks to everyone for all your prayers, and for all the support and help we have received. We are grateful for our family and friends and are excited for the chance to spend time with our baby.

Moving Right Along

It's been a while so I thought I would post a little update. Life here in Rexburg is moving right along. Kevin just started a new semester at BYU-I and I am trying to get everything ready for when the baby comes. As of today I am 32 weeks, only 8 more to go!! I'm getting huge too, this boy needs to stop growing!

Anniversary #1

Wow!! It's so strange to think that, on February 14th we have already been married an entire year. It's gone by incredibly fast! So many great things have happened and so much has changed.

In honor of our very first anniversary we decided to spend to Valentine's Day in Salt Lake.
First we started out by eating lunch at this great Italian Pizza Place. Then we headed over to the Gateway for some window shopping.

We purchases our first baby item at the Old Navy in the Gateway. We couldn't pass up the adorable stripes!

Then we visited the Clark Planetarium, we know it's actually for kids, but we decided to give it a try anyway (Plus, Kevin has always wanted to go). This is Kev getting a tad bit friendly with the astronaut suit.

Me hanging out on the moon.

We also saw the Utah State Capitol building, which was really cool. It was closed, so we didn't get to go inside but it was fun to go see it anyway.

To finish up we had dinner at this really great burger place called Acme Burger. By far, the best burger I have ever tasted. It was a way awesome weekend! And, as a plus, the weather was about 30˚ warmer than it was in Rexburg.

A Few Pregnancy Pics

Plus, a picture of baby (pretty hard to tell what you're seeing, but it's his head)

The New Place

I finally got around to posting some pictures of our new apartment. The "new" is misleading, of course, since this place was built in 1920. I left out the bathroom (don't they all look the same?) and the 2nd bedroom (full of junk the previous tenants left behind that we need to get rid of). But other than that, this is it!
