Progress

It's been a while since our last post so, naturally, Logan has just about doubled in size and has started doing all sorts of fun new things.

He holds his own bottle which is awesome! Now I don't have to spend half my day on the couch feeding him. (Wes, if you're reading this check out his shoes in this pic. I believe they were yours when you were a baby)

He also started rolling over and now uses that as a way to get around. It doesn't take long for him to get himself wedged under the couch!

He can also sit up by himself now. I think his baby gut helps out, it gets in the way of him falling too far forward.

Plus, he smiles all the time! Which I guess isn't really anything new, but this picture was too cute not to post!

Not Into Booties

The other day I had to run upstairs to change our laundry around. When I left Logan looked like this:

About a minute later when I got back downstairs he looked like this:
The same facial expression, legs in the same position, but the booties? I'm still trying to figure out how he managed to get one above his head. I don't know how he did it, but I do know this, he's got skillz! (yes, with a z)

Some Firsts

There were a couple of First Time Things for Logan over the past few months that I forgot to post about so I thought I should do some catching up.

At the Very end of July we gave him his first hair cut. Betsy held him, Meggan handled the clippers, and I got to catch the falling hair in a baggy to add to his baby scrapbook.

BEFORE

MID-SHAVE

POST OLD-MAN DO

In August we went camping with a big group of friends. Not only was it Logan's first camping trip but it was also the first time he slept through the entire night.
Unfortunately it was also the first time Logan experienced 40˚ weather and we forgot to bring him a sweater. He got to borrow Gracie's.

This picture got him the nickname Pikmin (you'll only know what that is if you're a gamer)

And this last Monday he got to see his first snow fall. I was holding him while I was taking the picture so he didn't get to be in it. This is just the view out or door.
He also got to go on his first road trip. We went to Iowa with my parents but the pictures are still on their way to me so I can't post them yet.

It has been awesome watching him grow and experience so many new things. What a great boy we have!

And in this corner, weighing in at the 95th percentile...

BOOYAH

This week, we took our son into the doctor's office. Part of the procedure of baby checkups is that they first check his weight and general health. When the nurse put Logan in the scale, I could have sworn I read this on the register:
Weight: CHUNK

Or, maybe it was 15 lb 11 oz, or something like that.

Ok, I'm the first to admit that my two-and-a-a-half month old son has a low center of gravity. I just hope that the weight of his cheeks doesn't stunt his growth (if his gene pool hasn't already done that.) The good news is he'll make a great first round draft choice as a linebacker in next year's fantasy football leagues.

Pick a chin and pinch it!

Logan's first endzone victory dance

By the way, Logan started rolling over a couple of days ago. We are pretty excited about that!
